Cord Blood Collection Is It Worth Getting Cord Blood Banked Despite Cost And No Guarantee Of Future Treatments Being Developed?

Is it worth getting cord blood banked despite cost and no guarantee of future treatments being developed? - cord blood collection

The hospital where our baby is born, the collection will not be around for a private midwife to collect the service and whether the hospital is committed to be there. We met no current treatments in the value of blood banks and no guarantee there will never be. It would cost approximately (EUR 1500), it would be better spent elsewhere for the baby and in a Trust Fund savings? Moreover, the banking of umbilical cord blood be stored for 20 years. Half of the collection is given to state banks. Please reply as soon as possible, because the baby is due in less than 3 weeks of May and run away the time when we decide to go. Thank you all!

  1. Well, while incredably May expensive and do not need ... You are wrong on this point there is no treatment. Umbilical cord blood is used in bone marrow as an alternative to bone marrow or stem cells from adult peripheral blood.

Please credit, please consider donating. I went through the transplantation of stem cells (known medically suitable for a bone marrow transplant) in the past year with umbilical cord blood and I am now free of leukemia. The graft can be used in leukemia, lymphoma, not several cancer and blood disorders, autoimmune diseases more.

  3. I want to do if you have a child. It was not really there when I had my first.

Your right, money, and if something happens I do not want to play on HT if they match.

  4. I think it's a waste of money. If you have a family history of cancer, I would think otherwise.
