Nj State Disability W2 Tax Form What Should I Do About This Situation?!?!?

What should I do about this situation?!?!? - nj state disability w2 tax form

I hired an accountant for my father, my taxes this year and in terms of W2 have, I 4 different jobs this year. One of these jobs is my study of the federal government at my university, where he earns only $ 2,500. For some reason I do not have state or federal taxes, but to complete the necessary documents so that they, but they have more money for disabled NY I (at the school in New York but lives in New Jersey). When I spoke to yesterday said no disadvantages NY $ 500 in tax money it seems ridiculous to me, and still $ 2,500 a year. Also I have almost $ 12,000 this year in the U.S. state of New Jersey, and she says, I will only receive up to $ 20 back.

What should I do?

  1. Make an appointment with the trainer and explain. It may be possible that you should be $ 500 NY. If more than one state, the control complex.

If you do not understand something or disagree, as he had his tax return may qualify for a different opinion of another tax preparer before filing your tax return.

If the point of contention is the declaration of state taxes, you may want to ask your specialist electronic file your state tax return and provide you with a paper (s) revenues of the state. Then take them back to another trainer for the screening, e-mail.

    Questions you explain your tax?

In fact, it is a fairly simple answer. You pay a lot of money for an accountant, so you do not ask, tell him, what he said? The person with all the files?

Do you have more sense in a lot of people are not aware of their situation, and may or may not really an idea of the existing laws?

    Ask him.

  3. The counter, of course, knows more than you about the tax preparation. The fact that you do not like the results does not mean that they are wrong.

  4. You need to do a little math for you, in order to be convinced that in this case in order.

How much taxes (recoverable or have to pay), is totally dependent on (1) your tax liability for the year and (2) The withholding tax for the year.

You need to determine how much should be checked by a (count s) during the year (if everything done correctly). We must therefore examine what part of the responsibility for household income (depending) on your income taxes. Then simply subtract the amount of withholding tax due, and determines the tax (or tax).

Remember that the answer to this question is not only a question of how much you earned in different places, it worked. She is always determined by: a responsible fiscal policy - tax deduction = the correct answer.

Thus, the counter may or may not be ridiculous. It depends on the answer to the equation.

Try it out. See for yourself.
